A practical plan for your warehouse

A warehouse network has to reach more than desks. Shipping stations, scanners, access points, cameras and door systems need suitable connections, power and placement. We review the floor plan, rack layout, ceiling heights, loading docks and office areas before setting the installation scope. We also discuss working hours, lift access, landlord requirements and how to limit disruption to daily operations.

Structured cabling that supports the building

We plan copper or fiber runs around distance, equipment and the route through the building. Cat 6 or Cat 6A may suit device connections; fiber can support longer links between network closets or buildings when the design calls for it. We use Belden and Leviton cabling products and select components for the agreed project requirements.

Equipment racks, ladder rack and suitable cable supports keep pathways organized and accessible. Routes account for bend radius, power separation, service access and room for future changes. We label outlets and patch panels, perform the testing included in your scope, and document connections so your team can identify them later.

Wi-Fi for scanners, staff and connected devices

Metal shelving, stored inventory and tall ceilings can change wireless coverage. We review device use and access point placement around aisles, shipping desks and offices. The design considers coverage, capacity, wired backhaul and network separation for business and guest use. Where agreed, we check performance in the working areas rather than relying only on a floor-plan drawing.

Depending on your requirements, options may include Ubiquiti UniFi Wi-Fi, Cisco wireless networking or Cisco Meraki cloud management. Equipment, licenses and features depend on the selected design.

Cameras & access control for busy facilities

For warehouse security camera installation in DFW, we start with the purpose of each view: entrances, shipping areas, loading docks, inventory aisles or the exterior. Lighting, mounting height and the detail you need to identify all influence camera and lens choices. We also review cabling, recording storage, retention needs and who should have viewing access.

Door access planning includes the existing doors, compatible locks, power, credentials and visitor workflow. Options can include UniFi Protect cameras and UniFi Access, alongside other systems that fit the site. Product suitability and available features are reviewed in the quote.

From site review to a clear handover

1. Request & review

Send your property address, project needs and target date. We follow up for floor plans, review existing infrastructure and arrange a site visit where needed.

2. Confirm the scope

Review the proposed equipment, cable routes, device locations, testing and installation schedule. Approve the written quote and project scope before work is scheduled.

3. Install & hand over

We coordinate the agreed on-site installation, label connections and check the functions included in the scope. At handover, we explain the installed system and provide the agreed documentation and access information.
